Nice Train Rahm
- Two men were hospitalized after an argument turned bloody early Saturday on the Red Line heading south from the Loop, Chicago police said.
The confrontation between the men turned physical as the 24-year-old pulled out a gun and shot the 38-year-old in the stomach around 12:15 a.m. as the train sped toward the CTA’s Cermak-Chinatown station, police said.
In return, police said, the 38-year-old grabbed the gun from the younger man who just shot him and began beating him with it.
As other passengers fled from the train car as it pulled into the platform in the 100 block of West Cermak Road, police officers found the two men — one shot, the other battered — still in the Red Line car.
Still no word on how someone snuck a gun onto the CTA in violation of all those signs Rahm ordered to be put up. You'd think it was damn near impossible to be armed on a Chicago train nowadays.

NO GUNS ON THE CTA!!!!! That’s it, I’m telling Rahm.
(You can almost hear Dee from “What’s Happening”.... “Ooooohhhhhhh, I’m gonna tell mama!!”)
Pistol must have jammed or empty mag.
That, or cool breeze realy just wanted to feel the pleasure in the pain he be laying on the shooter that lost his cooter.
And everyone that works in 9 including top 9 and his x was on the arrest report lol
Too bad the guy was let go he was the victim- no awards fellows!
West Cermak, a rough road in a rough town.
Civility, Humanity, and Peace packed up and
left a long time ago.
This has to be FAKE NEWS... all those signs, the LAWS against carrying concealed weapons on mass transit, and then the ultra-trustworthy and beyond reproach politicians who have told us that it's all safe and there's no need for law-abiding citizens to be armed...
Ohhh, and the cameras - those ultra-high resolution can see a zit on an ant's ass cameras that record everything and keep all the ....
oh never mind.... LOL....
I think the department should hire the guy that got shot in the stomach! He can teach 'Use of Force' at the police academy. Not only did he show resilience, but also extreme restraint as he could have technically used deadly force in this situation. Instead he just gave his fellow brigand a good ol' fashioned pistol whipping.
Rahm Emanuel and United Airlines have in common? deal or no deal!
Somebody filmed the fight:
https://mobile.twitter.com/Lenzy3653/status/1061165225636958208
And the ABC 7 10 pm news reported, "neigther man faces charges."
Why would any Illinois politician care about crime on trains or buses. They never ride them.
I love how the call these “ aarguments “. One guy had a gun , was gonna do harm to the other guy , and the other guy argued. It’s such bull. It’s a way of saying that it’s not really a crime because the other guy was argoiung and belligerent. Nice city Rahm and Eddie.
Oh well, crime is still down everywhere Ed and Rahm will announce on Monday! I would love to meet their math teacher. LOL!
Rham and Kidney Stone are gonna be pressing to move the case to federal court.... nope, the man had a history of falling victim to violent crimes— and when he called the poleec a white racist cop would harass him further. Case dismissed right Kimmy
Anyone robbed or attacked should sue the shit out of the CTA for lack of security. It would be an easy settlement!
Well the problem is any CPS graduate cannot read the signs. That's the graduates, and we all know the community dropout rate is over 50% so why even post signs post signs, get a looped recording at each station, maybe then they will obey the law. Shame on me, for a minute I thought the community might be civil sorry my bad. Silly me, just gun up when your on and Chicago public transportation, the life you save will be yours.
So he brought a fist to a gunfight and won. Good job sorry you had to get shot. The law of the jungle applies to Red Line riders especially going South.
A draw. One beaten one shot police got them both. Any truth to rumor of no charges? If so why, at very least attempted murder or a gun charge of some kind.
So how are those gun free zones working out. Also just how safe are the safe passage routes. That's what I thought. Democratic feel good words and gestures with no results. Just like a Democrat saying I won't raise your taxes until he gets elected and then raises taxes. What the Democratic Promises mean is I won't do it today BUT tomorrow is a different day and I will do as I damn well please. Chump.
Aren't there HD cameras on the trains to prevent crime?
vanecko communications to install colorful flashy signs at all cta points of entry. reminding passengers using a mr. rogers sound alike that guns are not allowed on cta property.
part of rahm's 'miss me yet?' fuck you chicago campaign.
Kinda shows that a gunshot wound doesn't always put somebody down. That it can piss off a victim too.
How is there no charges? Was dude a concealed carry with a properly registered weapon that "accidentally" went off?
Was the argument over egg drop soup?
Now, kees me you fool!!!!
The signs are only for people with concealed carry licences. If you do not have a concealed carry license, you don't have to obey the sign. Don't believe me? Read the ordinance cited on the sign...

Exactly, the reporters fill in the narrative when they have little information of incident, an argument could easily have been an armed robbery and the victim resisted...
Just another day in ShitCago!
I gotta hand it to him, grabbing a gun that was just used to shoot you and beating the punk you shot you with it is pretty badass.

ya it would ... hey, what planet are you on?
A shooting? Pistol whipping? Now that entertainment! Only thing missing was a good old fashion Mexican belt fight..
The Red Line is like the ugly step child of the CTA system.
ot
did rahms reformer commissioner in the water dept sexually harass a women??
enquiry minds want to know?
19P
Next week we’ll get the hi-def image from the CTA in the form of a black and white flyer.
Can’t wait, I’m itching to put a case on someone.
In fact I’ve already filled out dozens and post-dated my ISR’s.
Dopey taxpayers that elected Rahm, who appointed 21st Century Crime Strategist Lo Energy Special Ed, probably still don’t know that lame soy cuck Rahm, the non-MBA financial wizard had recently (Oct) approved a down payment of $5 million to the Failing CTA ($33 mil 2019 budget shortfall) to continue “improvements to transit with more committed over the next 5 years.
At least the CPS is safe and in good shape.
Rahm's gonna fix it.
a task force is being created to study if Chicago should upgrade those old unreadable signs with new high tech high definition signs of the 21st century.
I carry on the Red Line all the time. I'd be a fool not to. Retired, not in good standing.

Get a connected lawyer and you maybe guaranteed an easy 5 million; right Ram-a-lamma-ding-dong
Cha-Ching
The infamous 'red line' should be renamed The Shithead Express.
Once again, the Public Transportation Unit nowhere to be found. Flip it to the zone!
Why has special employment been cut back?
wow. does this mean that a no gun zone sign is worthless? big surprise you worthless politicians.
Or, Cody parley was sported waiting for a bus on museum campus
Just another routine community interaction. In the end, it’ll probably end up being a 19p. If either party ever even *thought* about getting a foid card, state will nolle the agg uuw. Keep the line moving!
I am shocked that someone willing to shoot someone over a verbal argument wasn't dissuaded from carrying a gun where there were "no guns" signs. :o
"Pistol must have jammed or empty mag.
That, or cool breeze realy just wanted to feel the pleasure in the pain he be laying on the shooter that lost his cooter."
Why pop a cap when you can turn your assailant into your bitch? Though the gun probably did quit working, on account of nobody using it for further mischief in the aftermath.

Yea right Happens all the time. If it was that’s easy it would be done everyday
My mom would take me to and from school everyday on the train starting when I was 5 yo. Needless to say, years later when I got my DL and saved up for a car I never took public transportation again..... And never will.

Cut to the French pimp slap fight
on a Paris street corner...
"OUI-OUI!"
>SLAP!<
"NON!
OUI-OUI!"
>SLAP!<
Hug...
Sip of wine...
*Slice of bread...
A little cheese...
A slice of meat...
A sliver of "l'oignon."
Another sip of wine.
>SLAP!<

To all the CPD reading this. This how you handle a Gun pointed at you. You are to let them shoot first time, hopefully hits your vest, then you wrestle the gun away and subdue the assailant. See how easy that was.
I carry everywhere. I'll take my chances with a fine or whatever.
Was the 24 year old a CCW permit holder or convicted felon ?
The reason I don't take the choo choo is because I'd have to be unarmed even with a CC license. The bad guys don't pay attention to the law. I hope the city likes the riders that they have now.
Signs, what signs? If you think a sign will dissuade someone that already broken numerous laws just by possessing a gun think again. I don't ride the CTA but if I did --Signs what Signs?
Somewhere, Paul Kersey is smiling.
If they used some of the money spent recording all the crime on the cta, they could hire those watchdogs with the muzzles, they used to have on the platforms. The crime would be much lower. But you have to give a shit, and the city doesn’t. Vanecko Security, doesn’t have a dog unit, yet....
"That, or cool breeze realy just wanted to feel the pleasure in the pain he be laying on the shooter that lost his cooter."
Thank you for the laugh!!!
Don’t think this could be true because everyone knows it’s against the law to carry a gun on a CTA train. Licensed CCW can’t even do that. All public transportation in Illinois is a gun free zone. Doesn’t everyone feel safer now knowing guns are banned on CTA trains?
Big assumption that criminals can read. You know what happens when you assume. You get robbed, beaten, raped or shot on CTA.
How about a sign on CTA banning Felons? Problems solvved.
"The supposed quietude of a good man allures the ruffian; while on the other hand arms; like laws, discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe,and preserve order in the world as property. The same balance would be preserved were all the world destitute of arms, for all would be alike; but since some will not, others dare not lay them aside...Horrid mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them."
Thomas Paine
