Winter is ending, so it must be - CONSTRUCTION SEASON!
And if you'll recall last year, IDOT had those white vans parked in the Dan Ryan construction area taking pictures of every single speeder going through the construction zones. Hundreds, if not thousands of people had their picture taken and tickets issued. There was almost NO appeal that would get you out of the ticket.
You'll notice the City and State haven't published any info about the vans that we've seen around yet - they want that quick revenue push before the word gets out. Well thanks to a very dedicated reader of ours, we have the following info for everyone else:

- 22nd and Cermak
- 69th and the Dan Ryan
- 95th and or 99th and the Dan Ryan
- 119th and the Dan Ryan
These are the supposed initial van placements. Yes, we noticed that first one too - Cermak Road is 22nd Street, so we're going to assume it's an error and someone will get us the good info. In the meantime, remember - a camera cannot extend you "professional courtesy" and there is no reason to think you will be extended any in Traffic Court should you get a photo ticket. Reports are the first ticket is $405 dollars. The second one is an automatic license suspension. Anyone with different info can post it in the comments section.

Be careful they automatically write you even in a squad. The city will expect you to pay even if on duty thanks daley!
On channel 5 news tonight. A black woman was yelling at Barack Obama. She was against the war.

This is an incident that MUST be notated.
The city should buy some of these vans. We could catch speeders the same way. Every repair at an intersection should be updated with those camera lights.
Overnight, at 4 AM closing time, an off-duty PO was stabbed outside the Chi-Town tavern, 2643 N. Lincoln Ave. (019)
Someone (the offender?) was also shot. Both to Ill. Masonic.
Any details?
Off subject but anyone know what happened with CPD guy that was stabbed this morning in Lincoln Park Area? He is in stable condition.
Oh he is black and can speak jive when he needs to/ Funny a muslims family that owned slaves, gotta love that for a president trying the race card

osama obama has no clue what he is for or against! he doesn't even know that his white Mother raised him and his Black father left him as a young child! now that he is running for the highest office he figures he can be black!
How can they do that. What if someone else is using a vehicle that registers to you? Who gets the ticket. What if your vehicle registers to a business? The picture vans suck!

Bullshit; the photos are reviewed by a trooper and he will not forward a picture of a squad or 'M' plate. The system works by matching the photos to the owner and or registered drivers through SOS. If not a match of the driver photo and the registered owner(s) photo through SOS, nothing is sent.
Saw on the news! Drunken off-duty cop stabbed and man shot. Gee, should the guns not be kept locked up in the radio room? Off-duty silly stuff?

There is no 99th & Dan Ryan nor is there 119th & Dan Ryan. South of 95th St. the Dan Ryan ends & I-57 begins. I guess SCC must be a north sider!

What happened with the copper who got stabbed? Is he OK?
If you read the post, we caught the 22nd/Cermak confusion. And the 3rd intersection listed is "95th and/or 99th." We copied and pasted the entire section of the letter that gave us the heads up that the vans are out there. The letter arrived to us from a Lieutenant who is a big fan of ours, and he forwarded it from at least one other set of addresses. So whoever typed it was obviously not a southsider.
Instead of trying to pin down where SCC lives, why not get the correct info and post it for everyone else? Besides, maybe we like to take I-55 home.
VAN SPOTTED. 22nd St. (Cermak Road) Feeder Ramp for I-55 / I-90/94 Entrance. Not sure if this was a permenant placment or just pulled off to the side to check something. They were parked in the turn around approx. 50 ft. south of Cermak, cameras pointed up the hill towards where the 55/90,94 split is.
I have it on excellent authority that the vans are set to click pictures of vehicles 15mph or more OVER the work zone limit.

Who the hell gave you that info? Guess all these illegal immigrants can blow past these things with no problem since the car is registered to them yet they don't have any license whatsoever to be compared to, unless you count that bullshit "matricula" card, which SOS has no access too. Now that I think about it, you are probably right, and that is the way it works, illegals get a pass again, while those here legally and have there vehicles and license in order are fucked.

WRONG!!!! NOT!!! It aint so. I've had my plate snap shot 7 times that I know of (probably more) while speeding from one job to the other while using the dan ryan and I never got a single notice or letter and so on. so shut your trap, you uninformed idiot.
Perfect example that MORE police need to write more movers let alone a shit load of more parker for dawgasses covering their plates with hitches, tinted plate covers, plates in the back window, plates in the back dash, etc All To Avoid The Camera's. FUCK EM ALL CAUSE THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT GET NAILED WITH THE TICKETS ARE THE PEOPLE THAT ARE LEGIT WITH THEIR PLATES AND THEIR PLATE POSITIONING.
