Three More Weekday Homicides

Some of it is carry over from the messy weekend:

• Three people, including a15-year-old boy, were shot to death on the West Side this afternoon, police said.
  
  The boy, 15, was shot in the chest about 5:08 p.m. in the 600 block of North Lawndale Avenue in the East Garfield Park neighborhood and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was declared dead, said Chicago Police News Affairs...
  
  
• In a separate attack in the Lawndale neighborhood, a woman in her 20s was declared dead at Mount Sinai Hospital after having been shot multiple times in the 1600 block of South Drake Avenue about 5:20 p.m., O'Brien said.
  
  Other police officials said a man is believed to have shot his girlfriend three times in a domestic violence attack.
  
  
• In West Garfield Park, A man, in his 20s, was shot about 3:20 p.m. in the 400 block of South Pulaski Road [...]. The man, age 20, was declared dead at 3:30 p.m. at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

West side mayhem

One of the papers was reporting that all but one shooting this past weekend occurred on the south or west sides. Odd how that happens.
