Hey Look....a Triple

  • Four people were shot to death Wednesday night, including a 16-year-old boy and two men killed when several gunmen opened fire in a South Shore courtyard in this year’s first triple homicide, authorities said.

The three were standing in the courtyard in the 6700 block of South Chappel Avenue when the shooters walked up around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, Police News Affairs [...] said.
Along with a few more shootings and a pair of stabbings, there have been something like seven or eight murders the past two days. Not bad for a Wednesday/Thursday midweek in October.

See what happens when you practice, practice, practice?! You go 3-3. One of those got it in the head, so that was a given, but one guy got it in the shoulder and died. They're not all line drives to center, but the bloopers over the infielders head count too. They all look the same on the scoresheet.

"While it’s disappointing we had such a large number of homicides in 2012, more than Los Angeles and New York–the two cities in the country that have a higher populations than Chicago–it’s misleading to say this number is an accurate interpretation of Chicago’s problem with violence. Especially when compared to other cities."

We've tallied 9 homicides since Monday, 7 shot, 2 stabbed.

Is the marksmanship of Chicago's thugees starting to slowly improve? Is this due to practice on a secret underground gun range, or practice on real targets? Or, just because they are now standing real close to their intended target?

It's classified with one rd because its all the same incident, with three victims fatally shot, as it should be.

Here's a novel idea, why don't the Capt,Lt and Sgts Associations stand BEHIND their officers and demand staffing levels to be increased to 13,500 were they should be, instead of demanding revenue?

You should have been on the scene. Nobody saw nothing! the normal response that's given to police. Better yet, a lot of "it's the poleeze fault". WTF! When you're gang members at the weed tip 10 strong representing, bad things happen.

Only one R.D. number is issued, regardless of the number of victims in one separate incident at the same time and location.

The Offense/Classication in the murders of the eight nurses by Richard Speck would read:

HOMICIDE/MURDER (8)

If Speck then went to another location and murdered other person(s), another R.D. number would be issued.

The Speck case was tallied as EIGHT (8) murders for UCR purposes.

Are you a police officer? I don't think so.

Bullshit! I live right on this block! The street was relatively quiet until the shooting happened! So who ever was out there to see something, wasn't there when the "poleeze" and everyone else came out. Not one police officer was told "this is your fault". No one verbally or physically assaulted a officer. Were people mad? Of course, there's 3 dead guys laying in your street you're going to be upset. Emotions are running high at that point. You people just talk, you'll never know what it's like to deal with bullshit like this. Asshole.
