Emanuel for prez- lol. I doubt any democrat will win the next election, seeing how even the regular dems are not at all happy with the current administration. There's quite a few republican nominees that could rally strong support, especially Ted Cruz and Texas governor Rick Perry. They are officials from a state that is financially solvent and is in better economic health than most of the country- Emanuel cannot say the same coming from a state with billions in debt and running a city with numerous fiscal irresponsibilities including unpaid pension funds. The economy will be the primary focus of this next election and the democrats have a very bad record of spending practices these past 8 years, so I doubt they will do very well.

Two people are now in critical condition after a can't-see-lights collision in Plainfield during our last storm; we understand that these were LED lights. Some places put these in and then have to install heaters -- and there go the "energy savings." Just nuts.

I can't imagine a worse President than the one we've got now. I never thought he would make it, and I certainly never thought he would be re-elected. Wonder what other things Angelo will have a problem with considering that he hasn't been a part of the rank and file in ten years. To be honest, I'm not sure how in the world this ended up in a run off. For starters, Angelo's completely out of touch with today's officer. Secondly, his connection to today's officer is his son who just voted to let Shields retain the presidency and then tried to hush hush the vote because all Angelo's guys voted the same way.

Not a problem, they will merely have to retrofit the stop lights with electric heating elements and sensors to melt any accumulated ice or snow. They will cost 4 times as much as the old filament bulbs and burn twice as much electricity but hey, good thing the LED lights save energy.
Or, they can have good old reliable Union electricians go up there in a boom truck to wipe the snow off several times a shift on every stop light in town.

My kid just got the score from the recent police test. He passed and it says he was put into a lottery and his number was 10,000 out of 12,000. Then it goes on to say they will be called in a lottery order. However the letter then continued on to say that CPS graduates would be called within the first 2000? How is that random? That's BS. I believe I paid public school taxes my entire working life, and did not use any CPD resources and funded my children's Chicago Catholic School education. I call BULLSHIT! random should be random.

All P.O.s in MTU will be put into districts. The new unit will offer 2 new units as follows: Bus Transportation South, West, and North with a commanding officer. Rail Transportation Unit South West North with a commanding officer. All officers will be required to take a rail safety class and a first aid class annually. Officers with a sustained CR or more than 10 medical days (not IOD) will not be considered. Officers can bid for rail or bus but not the area of designation. You will be assigned by man-power needs. Unit will stress ANOVs and not physical arrests. From what I understand NO tact teams. All robberies and follow-ups will be done by district tact teams and area detective units. Crown cap and 80/20 pants everyday. They're trying to figure out how to eliminate summer furloughs. NO sergeants in the office, they want them riding with their officers. Say I'm full of shit but I know. You will see in May.

Does Slide Fire make quality products then I may be interested.
Here is what Pfleiger is likely to do as a publicity stunt. He did this before about alcohol and tobacco billboards on the south side.
Phleiger will probably try to invade any building that Slide Fire or Lamar Advertising uses.
They should post NO TRESPASSING signs in advance, secure all doors and advise all personnel of the potential threat.
When company vehicles come in or out there should be guards present to prevent the property from being rushed.
Look out for media vehicles and camera people gathering.
As I recall, years ago Pfleiger drove a black SUV and I think the plate was DRIVER and he was accompanied by a CPD bodyguard in a suit.
Pfleiger and as many of his accomplices as he can muster will likely charge the building in the mid-late afternoon to get on live news programs. They will disrupt the business and, refuse to leave and police will be called.
When confronted with this, call for a supervisor and make a record telling all that on orders of the property owners all here are to immediately and peaceably leave these premises or face arrest.
The media people may not move if that is so tell them that getting arrested is not in their job description. They will likely move, if there is a CPD bodyguard there tell him he has been relieved and wait for him outside or else he is part of this.
Then have the property owner sign complaints for all concerned and warn them that if they contact the complainant they will be guilty of intimidating a witness.
Bring a squadrol into building if possible and close the doors block and the windows. Search the arrestees for weapons and cell phones. It would be a great thing if you could pull a switch and send all the media to an Area while you take the prisoners to the district station.
The IMPORTANT thing is to not to encourage Pfleiger to tie up police with these publicity stunts. DO NOT ALLOW him to I-Bond until after the evening news has ended so he cannot be live on the air. By 10 o'clock news they will not have much time for his non-sense.
P.S. With all the kids being killed Pfleigher always had his hand out for city, state and fed money for his projects. Never does he call to hold Rahm an McDufass accountable for the violence and to hire more police.

Wrong. Mass Transit can be changed. It just can't be disbanded. They wrote a Federal Grant explaining the changes, for the good, that they want to implement. The Grant, it seems now according to rumor, has been approved. It is just a matter of implementation.

Paul wasn'r around when Dean could have gone on light duty. It was still an option for him. Hell Jimmy Mullins wanted to come back to work after being shot. Mike Lappe is a testament for and the litmus test of being able to walk under your own power and qualify. If you think Dean is more disabled than Mike Lappe who was shot responding to a domestic then you're greatly disillusioned. Dean never had any intention of working light duty and he could have easily qualified and easily walked under his own power. after all he did attending 66 roll calls and has a full time job as a professor.Disability payments cost our pension fund 22 million every year and granted there are some members that have been catastrophically injured and deserve every penny they receive from being disabled on our job. I just have a hard time watching watching Mike Lappe reporting for duty every day in uniform and costing our pension fund nothing and then seeing Dean Angelo going to work every day collecting his $100,000 from his full time job as a professor and collecting his $50,000 directly from our pension fund for being disabled, really. If he is able to teach full time and run for FOP president then he should be able to work full duty. He is a scammer and will not get my vote!!!!!!!

If you seriously believe that, someone failed you in your education. A no vote is a no vote. A yes vote is a yes vote. No vote at all is no vote; it doesn't default to a yes.
However, unless you make the small effort to vote no, they can win the judgeship with only one 'yes' vote.
