ISP Gets the Job Done

  • A small anti-violence demonstration Monday near the Kennedy Expressway ended in a way two previous highway protests during the summer did not: with protesters in handcuffs.

A dozen protesters, including the event’s organizer, the Rev. Gregory Livingston, were arrested before they could block traffic on the busy artery that connects downtown Chicago with O’Hare International Airport.

“This shows that we’re willing to sacrifice our freedom for the freedom of others,” Livingston said, calling his arrest a “source of pride.” He said the nonviolent protest delivered the message that large swaths of the city plagued by violence and poverty are being forgotten. “We want to end the ‘tale of two cities’ in the city of Chicago.”
You want to end the "tale of two cities"? Stop acting like the rules of a civilized society don't apply to your community and join everyone else:
  • the robbery rate is lower,
  • burglary rate lower,
  • drug dealing rate lower,
  • shooting rate lower,
  • and yes, murder rate lower - lower by magnitudes
Try it, you might like it.

And a round of applause for the State Police for not letting this bullshit artist run rampant over the rule of law.

Rev. Livingston declared the protest a phenomenal sucess. Yea right. But when the Left and the news media rewrite the history books this will go down as a significant milestone in the civil rights movement. "Livingston said he prayed at the scene and was encouraged that the rains led yo delays at the airport later in the afternoon. We prayed and the rain came down." Well I knew the rain was coming because I checked the National Weather Service so I knew I didn't have to pray for it. So is this preacher like Moses when he parted the Red Sea, the character, Starbuck, from the Broadway play "The Rainmaker". A miracle worker. Just pray from them to stop shooting.

Well thank god the Superintendent wasn't there, he would have marched with those protesters arm & arm and would have been arrested. There were more white protesters than black protesters. Were these the George Soros rent a protester. Some white mopes with a Mini Cooper with plates from Maine were asking for directions. Now to come all the way from Maine!!!!!!!!

Park Ridge had their people on the line and they brought in units from a lot of Northern suburbs to patrol the town. Thank you to the State Police and the Suburban Police for standing up to peace, justice and the American way even though those State guys used some stern commands on the protesters!!!!!! I also heard they had to keep the Kennedy clear as Rham was coming in from Princeton NJ.

Don't be Fooled by the Kabuki Theater of the Absurd Performance. As with any Political Production, there was more behind the curtain, than in front. Leo got Back Stabbed last month on the Dan Ryan. He was betrayed by Rahm, Kidney Bean and Fr. Faker. They told him one side of the Ryan would be blocked, that was the deal; then the highest ranking member of the Chicago Police Department, Marched with his arm locked with the Law Breakers and Deal Breakers, in solidarity across the Whole Ryan! Rahm gave Rauner and Leo a Big Fuck You. But Leo ain't "No Foo", and he was not going to make any deal this time. His Troops moved in, and that was that. Now you have to wonder; is there any "Trust" left between ISP and CPD after what happened over the Dan Ryan fiasco? And tactically, consider that we have now witnessed 3 main highways into and out of Chicago violated, like never before. The Trump Rally in 2016 saw the Eisenhower blocked, Faker blocked the Ryan and now this. You could see these as Dry Runs, but for whom? Stay Safe, and Strong. Baby "G"

Let's also invest back in school with capable teachers who care and no more than 30 students per class. Morals, respect for self and others, common courtesy, common sense, etc.. all used to be taught in school because it may not be taught elsewhere.

Dis "Rev" is just looking to be the next Jesse, Al, Louie......cuz dem boys gettin real old......

Yes, SCC, maybe if da community acted like a community - there could be economic development, factories to work in, stores to shop in....but when da community robs the stores blind, won't work for $12 an hour cuz slinging dope pays more for less hours, and the homes/apartments given to da community members are destroyed within a few years....not to mention that when one has multiple children, welfare pays more than working.....then apply SNAP, Sect 8 housing allowance, free utilities, free phones, free internet, free medical benefits, WIC, it's actually a decent living without EVER going to work.....plus, as you get older, you can draw SSI or S/S without ever working one day in your life.....
Truly, this is a cultural and belief problem that only da community itself can change.....

Still cannot comprehend why anyone would want to tarnish their permanent record with an arrest - even with the $120 in hand.

$120 times 11 doesn't even come close to the amount of money paid out in OT to the officers begrudgingly forced to stand witness to this sham.

Tired of this B*llsh*t.

That is false. Illinois State Police can make arrests anywhere in the state from Cairo to Antioch, the lakefront to Moline. Chicago is a city inside Illinois. They don't need Rahm's permission , CPD's permission or anyone else's.

Good for ISP. My guess is there were less protesters this time and a more favorable geography as far as making it more difficult getting onto the Kennedy as opposed to the Ryan protest making it easier for them to take action without CPD help. Because God forbid CPD lock these idiots up.

First, this Livingston guy is a total embarrassment! Second, The protest was more of a Hate the Police and Racism theme than anything else. There was a guy with a Black Panther hat and shirt on and others with BLM and police hating stuff. There was “VanDyke murderer “ stuff too. So Livingston has no credibility and can’t even stay on the same page for his BS cause. People saw this as a joke. Livingston is just another fool like Phlegar.

Exactly right. The BS "Convict Van Dyke" sign said all we need to know about these people's commitment to civil rights. If they can't respect trial by jury for JVD then why expect them to respect any other parts of the rule of law?

Technically the entrance ramp and main lanes are within the City of Chicago up to the DP river. But Chicago ceded patrol jurisdiction to the state, years ago, in exchange to letting the state sell Lotto at the airport. Chicago has jurisdiction south of the centerline of Higgins from E. River to Cumberland, they then have jurisdiction east from Cumberland along the south curb of Higgins to Canfield, Park Ridge having the entire street. Unless something has changed recently.

Since we are talking about Law Enforcement agencies getting the job done...how about Las Vegas Metro PD!! They are constantly involved in Officer Involved Shootings. They have a protocol and they follow it. Right away at the scene the have an Police information Officer who give a brief summary and within 72 hrs they release any Police videos of the incident. Be it a bodycam, Dashcam and or phone videos. They release the Crooks name, Criminal background if any and charges had the Crook survived. They also release the Officers names, date of service nature of the call and explain why deadly force was used. They make no apologies or attempt to pander to any group. They post the videos on YouTube and social media. They must train their personal on how to act in front of the cameras also because all the videos i have observed none of the coppers act shell shocked or make any statements that might be negative. I would venture too say that if CPD followed this protocol with the Van Dyke shooting we would not be dealing with this shit show we have now!! Dave Byrd has only done traffic? Nonsense. Obviously the poster knows little about ISP. Sure, the main duty and function in Cook County is to patrol the expressway system, but ISP has always been a full service law enforcement agency, enforcing criminal statutes, the IVC, along with federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations. Behind CPD, ISP makes more criminal arrests than any other department in the state. Dave Byrd has made many criminal arrests during his career. So have the majority of ISP officers. I was told by a credible source that the reason the State Police didn't lock anyone up for the Dan Ryan protest is that the State Police were told that if they arrested anyone that CPD would pack it up and go home from Kidney Bean himself. State Police at that point had no choice but to shut the expressway down because of the threat to public safety to give Kidney Bean and Father Faker there moment probably on order from Rahm because they wouldn't of been able to handle the crowd of that size by themselves. That is just politics taken to a new low.

Wasn’t much of a threat to public safety. Less than 1,000 protesters

Who are the reverends who got the 500 k from Rahm? If this is true, both Rahm and each of them can be in serious tax trouble and should be turned into irs (criminal investigation group) and the FBI. If it’s true report the names. If no names are forthcoming it’s total bullshit.

GTFOH with your bullshit. You must be 1 of the NOBLE guys who just got promoted. The only reason he is where he is is because of the color of his skin. And not that that fat piece of shit JB will win, but he is another pandering shitbag who would give Byrd that position and only because of his color.

I'm not a huge fan of his either...but I'm still more baffled by those who think the present one is great...or good at all. To each his own I guess.
